Cognitive Therapy Program

Cognitive and sensory-motor rehabilitation.

What is the Nirvana System?

Nirvana is an immersive therapy tool that supports both cognitive and sensory-motor rehabilitation. Think of it as a VR device that guides you through a room. This motion sensor tracks your movement in real time while interactive activities are projected on the wall or the floor.

Caring for your physical and mental health.

Nirvana System

During the therapy process you’ll see targets, shapes, and guided tasks, and you’ll respond by reaching, stepping, turning, or touching. The system adjusts on the spot to your performance so the work is always challenging but safe.

How it works in a session

Your clinician selects scenarios that match your goals, such as attention and memory training, balance under mild challenge, reaction time, or coordination of the eyes and head. As you complete tasks, the software automatically changes speed, target size, and complexity. Each session records objective data like accuracy and response times. That lets us progress you methodically from visit to visit and show you your gains.

Benefits we aim for

The immersive format keeps you focused and increases healthy repetitions, which is important for neuroplasticity. Many patients tell us they notice improvements not only in therapy but also in daily tasks that require concentration, quick decisions, or steady movement in busy environments.

Nirvana is designed to improve attention, working memory, and processing speed while also addressing balance and body control.

What it feels like for patients

Therapy feels active and engaging. You are moving with purpose rather than sitting through paper-and-pencil drills. Most sessions last 30 to 60 minutes. We titrate the challenge so you leave worked, not wiped out. The visual and auditory feedback is immediate, which helps you understand how to correct a movement or sharpen attention on the next attempt.

How it fits into your overall care

Nirvana is one part of a complete plan. We combine it with vestibular exercises, physical therapy, and psychological support when needed. If your goals include reading without fatigue, walking steadily in a crowd, or returning to sport or work, we can build Nirvana activities that reinforce those exact skills. Because the system logs your performance, it also helps the whole team align on your progress and next steps.

Practical notes

Nirvana is noninvasive and markerless.

You don’t need to wear sensors or headsets. Activities can be scaled up or down for age, fitness level, and sensitivity to motion or light. If you are prone to headaches or dizziness, we start gently and increase the dose as your tolerance improves.

Next step

If you are dealing with attention lapses, memory strain, slowed thinking, balance issues, or visual motion sensitivity after a concussion or other neurological event.

Ask about an evaluation that includes Nirvana-based training. We will set a baseline, map goals that matter in your day-to-day life, and show you how this tool can work alongside your current therapies.
